The Virgin Islands are totally committed to use of the U.S. Dollar at 100% par. No other currency is used.
Foreign Transaction Fees
Most places take the usual credit cards but be forewarned: American Express, Master Card and VISA all now charge a 3% "Foreign Transaction Fee" for purchases in the British Virgin Islands. The only card that does not charge an FTF to the writer's knowledge is Capitol One's Master Card.
